Seattle Home Savvy 2016 in Review
2016 was a fantastic year for Seattle Home Savvy and real estate in the Seattle area. We had the privilege of working with so many great sellers and buyers, some new and some long time clients! We really loved getting to sell such a wide variety of home styles in some great neighborhoods across the city and beyond. Here are some highlights.
This Ballard farmhouse lived LARGE! With the perfect floorplan AND the perfect blend between modern updates and Ballard farmhouse charm this home had it all! Three generous bedrooms and a gorgeous updated bath all on the top floor with towering ceilings and tons of natural light. Main floor featured an exquisite updated kitchen with breakfast bar that opened to the sunny fenced back yard. The main living area was lovely, with cozy fireplace, dining space great for entertaining, a guest bedroom/media room, and another fabulously updated bathroom. With its location close to Shilshole, Ballard Locks and downtown Ballard this home sold itself!
This gorgeous NW modern design was in the apex of Seattle's most coveted neighborhood, Phinney-Greenwood. With a smart layout, rich hickory floors and large south facing windows flooding the space with light this home was absolutely perfect. The kitchen boasted caesarstone quartz counters, high-end appliances and a striking backsplash it was any cook's dream! A dual sided gas fireplace keeps the living and dining space cozy. Upstairs there were 3 spacious bedrooms including the ensuite master with sweeping views and another full sized bathroom with amenities galore! On the lower level a media room and a fourth bedroom rounded out this home that really highlighted what northwest luxury living is all about.
We loved this one of a kind property located minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the city in Lake Forest Park. Situated up a private, tree-lined drive this home was situated on a 17k square foot lot. Outside you had a fire pit, BBQ patio complete with a plumbed wet bar and a tree house even an adult could love (power and cable). The interior retained much of its mid century charm while boasting sleek upgrades throughout. From rich oak flooring, a cozy gas fireplace and a modern kitchen upgrade on the upper level and a spacious media room with built in surround sound and an impressive mudroom complete with a wet bar and deep freezer on the lower level this home truly had it all.
This stunning modern construction by Built Urban was tucked down a private lane in the Mount Baker neighborhood of Seattle. With its BUILT GREEN design status which included high-efficiency systems throughout, including tankless H20, in-floor radiant heat, double-paned windows and a NEST home thermostat system. The stand alone tri-level layout was brimming with natural light, with two master suites, a generous open floor plan and a super sleek kitchen this home had it all! Witch easy access to all that the city has to offer, this one was fun to sell!
Just look at this classic Ballard craftsman home! This home was impeccably preserved including its turn-of-the-century details: beautiful oak and fir flooring throughout, tall ceilings complete with picture rails, all the classic built in shelves and cupboards and a cozy wood burning fireplace. The large living space opened into a light-filled dining area and classic kitchen. The yard was filled with mature plantings, including lilacs and grape vines. With all the off street parking the detached garage could easily have been used as studio space, workshop or anything you could dream up. The location, close to Burke Gilman, Ballard Locks and Golden Garden made this a very special home.
Right in the heart of Seattle's historic Belltown neighborhood this home was a city dwellers dream! This meticulously maintained corner unit sat on 10 inch concrete/steel foundation with quiet pad throughout the main living area, making it all ready for you to add your home theater (wiring already included!). With two spacious bedrooms, 1.75 bathrooms and a stylishly updated kitchen it was ready for its new owner!
